Creative yet efficient wedding planning

We had our wedding on the wettest day of the year. We had tons of last minute cancelations and changes. I was beyond stressed and I have to admit, I probably became kind of a "Bridezilla" 😩 Not once did anyone from Simply Elegant lose their temper with me. Every time something was changed, pretty much every other day, they acknowledge the change, suggested different ideas and worked with my constant questioning and helped me to understand things. Because of the weather, we had to do some last minute moving around. They gladly let us use the pavilion as an alternate ceremony location. With the help of the staff and the awesome DJ, the ceremony ended up being absolutely beautiful. They even provided a place for our guests to stay, out of the rain, while waiting for the reception area to be ready. With their expertise, they were able to finish early and we were able to start the party earlier than planned. My biggest worry was how our idea of reception decor would translate into a reality. We basically made a few things, sent pictures of our ideas and let them "go to town" with the decorating. Upon walking into the reception room for the first time, I saw before me, our exact idea. The reception was EPIC and the catering staff did the best they could despite all the seat changes, last minute cancelations and special requests a lot of our guest had. We all had the time of our lives dancing to the wicked 80's tunes the DJ was pumpin' and the food was delicious. Everyone that had special diet requests were accommodated appropriately. We wrapped up the party at the insane hour of 930pm 😂😂😂🤦‍♀️ ( cuz we're old and go to bed at 9pm 😂) with everyone thanking us for inviting them to the "best wedding EVER" We want to thank the whole crew that helped make our 80's wedding totally awesome and a wicked event we will never forget. A Beautiful Venue with Exceptional Service! We got married at Waterfront Park in Calgary on July 5th, and the entire experience was truly amazing. The venue itself is gorgeous — the peaceful views of the water added a special touch to our ceremony and photos, creating a perfect atmosphere for our big day. What really stood out, though, was the incredible service and coordination. The staff was professional, organized, and genuinely caring. From the planning stages to the final moments of our wedding, they made everything feel effortless and stress-free, allowing us to just enjoy the day. We would absolutely recommend Waterfront Park to other couples — not only for the stunning scenery, but especially for the top-notch service that made our wedding feel so seamless and special. We just had our wedding catered by Simply Elegant on August 16th. The company is amazing to work with. Right from the beginning, communication was quick and efficient. The chef was accommodating of our, slightly odd, request. We had a christmas themed wedding, and Simply Elegant recreated their Holiday menu for us for it! We did a tasting prior to signing, and it was as amazing as the food was on the day of the wedding! We had so many left overs too so the quantities were great! We had so many compliments from our friends and family about the food! Could not have asked for a better wedding day meal! Will highly recommend in the future!

Does anyone ever heard that the desserts were served in a wedding party without dessert plates & dessert folks? I know a company who catered and organized an event without those. My wife and I experienced an unpleasant situation in front of 80 invited guests at our daughter's recent wedding event at the Waterfron Park pavilion, Calgary, on September 06, 2024. Note that Simple Elegant Corporation organized the event. It must have been frustrating to have the desserts served without the proper plates and utensils. Even though those items/utensils were clearly written on the contract/invoice under Catering/Buffet package, and the catering and event planning company, Simple Elegant Corporation, was responsible for organizing this aspect of the wedding. Moreover, the power supply was turned-off at one point even though the contract clearly states to provide power supply during the event. Proper table settings and dining accommodations are an important part of an elegant, well-executed event where this company has failed to meet the expectations.

Simply Elegant exceeded my expectations with their impeccable organization and ease of service. Their attentiveness and exceptional coordination made the planning of my wedding ceremony an absolute dream. I am profoundly grateful for their contribution to one of the most significant days of my life. Thank you for your unparalleled support and for helping create unforgettable memories.

We could not have dreamt up of a better setting, menu, venue or more pleasant people to work with. Jade and the entire team from Simply Elegant made our wedding so seamless and stress free, as a wedding can be. From the venue to the food, everything was perfect. Truly a day we will never forget.

We were extremely happy with the work and efforts that Simply Elegant dedicated to planning and executing our wedding at the Waterfront Park in September. Jade is the Event Production Director and she wears the role fabulously. She was quick to pick up on the big and small details that we wanted and delivered no questions asked. Mark is the catering manager and he met with us a couple times for tastings and menu revisions. He never got tired of our inquiries or requests (at least to our faces lol) and was very willing to go the extra mile for us. The team at Simply Elegant made themselves very available to us and our vendors on the wedding day and the days leading up to it. My guests mentioned how enjoyable the Simply Elegant team was on our wedding day and how they were fun, relaxed yet very organized. Thank you again Simply Elegant!
